[ "Freakshow" and "circus" have two different connotations. Even Logan recognises it, though he's admittedly not the best at explaining how he does.
His expression darkens. Kurt might be trying to be more civil about it, but his anger is real -- more because being used like that so shitty people can profit hits closer to home than it should.
[sour-tasting bile is still on his tongue when he nods his head. he swallows, raises a hand to curl against his mouth, eyebrows knitting together with thought.]

again, the teleporter shifts, upper-half dipping somewhat as he leans closer.] Do you think he'll believe that? [he drags his own bottle over, sets it up alongside logan's and tips his head.] And what happens if we do find them?

[kurt blinks expectantly, studying logan while he waits for an answer then promptly laughing when the older man musses his hair.
he reaches to clasp logan's shoulder and squeeze firmly, though that doesn't feel like enough. even if he's unsure of the reaction, the blue boy follows through anyway, stretching his other arm out and around to embrace his mentor.] ... thank you, Logan.
God, when was the last time Logan had been hugged?
He doesn't move even after Kurt's said thank you, sitting there at a loss for what to do. At least he didn't stiffen up, though.
Eventually he relaxes into it, and though he doesn't necessarily return the gesture, he does bring his hand up to pat at Kurt's back with a small smile. ]
Don't worry about it. [ A beat. ] And don't tell anyone I let you hug me, either.
[had logan tensed, kurt would have immediately pulled away and apologized. sometimes, he does things without thinking. a hug just seemed like the most appropriate thing he could offer in return for something so great.
