[exuberance still evident, jubilee's smile becomes somewhat more nervous. this will be the first time she's ever drove a bike and having a passenger makes her worry, even if it's just logan. (she imagines his injuries would heal in no time should they crash, but--)
she feels like she has a firm understanding of the cycle and after logan gets them going, the tenseness her smaller frame had earlier relaxes, hands loosening ever so slightly beneath his.]
This is ... [indescribable, really, although she does her best with wording it.] Breathtaking, [she finishes. a perfect descriptor, considering how she has a hard time keeping her attention focused as they whiz by things. her eyes do keep to the road, though, since she'd feel awful if it were her fault they ended up in a wreck.]
[ "Breathtaking" is a lot more poetic than Logan would have put it, and the grin that pops up on his face is a lot more wider than he used to. Her awe makes the whole thing worth it-- Logan's just prouder than he would be seeing her attention to detail and how careful she's trying to be.
(You'd think road safety wouldn't be something to take pride in, but Logan doesn't have a lot of people to be proud of. He takes what he can get.)
Logan's own grip starts to relax, the gradual release of pressure a clear sign he intends on letting her drive for real in no time at all. ] How about we ride into town?
[somehow, jubilee's excitement greatens, her smile broadening until it really reaches her eyes, crinkles them up at the corners. she really can't contain herself, yet her grip never wavers and as she speeds up, her carefulness only lessens as logan's grasp slowly lets up.
her head bobs with agreement, brilliant red hair blowing back. good thing logan's taller than her, else he'd probably have a mouthful. the tiny pyro is tempted to reach her hand back and offer the hair-tie, ask him to tie it back so it's not all over the place, but she's far too nervous to release the handlebars.]
Let's do it, yeah! [extra carefully, she gives the bike more gas, gently coaxes the rumbling machine around the slight upcoming curve, breathing a relieved sigh when the turn goes smooth.]
[ Logan gets ready to shoot his claws out to support them in case the bike dips too low, but Jubilee's got a better handle on it than he thought. Colour him impressed. ]
I'm sure you know the way. [ As he says this, his hands lift entirely from Jubilee's and move to hold her sides gently, but not any less firm. Logan would wrap his arms around her, but he's not exactly sure how comfortable she is on this thing just yet, and he has no problem moving his own body to account for any strange balances that might result. ]
You were gonna [ he frowns slightly ] take me shopping, right?
[logan's not the only one who's impressed; the handling of the bike is a bit surprising to her even, but jubilee hardly ever doubts herself.]
If I didn't, I'd be worried about my state of mind. [she spares a glance down at his hands, grins wide then retightens her own grip, readying to speed up again once they get completely through the bend. glancing over her shoulder now, her smile broadens, excitement clear in her dark eyes.]
