"Come to the cabin, so we can talk face to face."

Victor can probably hear his frown over the telephone. "How important is this to you?"

He sighs before giving his answer, "It's important to both of us. Just.. Put your deep dislike towards me aside for a moment and come over."

"You seriously can't tell me on the phone." Hopefully Logan sounds as disbelieving as he feels.

"Can't take the risk of being heard by outsiders." That sounded paranoid but Victor had his reasons. "What's it gonna be?"

"Not your cabin," Logan muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Meet me halfway, somewhere public.

"Take it or leave it."

A pause. "Fine. Name a place and I'll be there."

He wasn't even expecting it to be easy.

"Tim Horton's by the border. I'll be there in three days, half past seven."

"I'll see you then. Don't be late, brother."

"I won't."

Logan puts the phone down without a goodbye.
